About WAPSI

WAPSI is a global collective of women and female-identifying artists practicing film photography and historic photographic processes.  It is a platform in which members can share information, opportunities, and discoveries, as well as support and inspire each other.

For the duration of the pandemic, the collective will be meeting regularly in a virtual format to share work and ideas.  Post-pandemic goals include in-person gallery exhibitions and meetings.

 

The membership fee ($25.00USD/year) will go toward infrastructure (i.e. website, online meeting platform fees), business costs (i.e. incorporating), and future in-person events.  In an effort to ensure that finances do not prevent participation, once membership is opened up to the public, we will encourage donations that will be entered into a scholarship fund to provide membership for those experiencing financial hardship.
